An FIR has been lodged by the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Police against Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra for murder of the farmers protesting against the three central farm laws.
Ashish Mishra was booked in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, he is accused of crushing down 8 people including the protesting farmers, with his four-wheeler.
The Uttar Pradesh Government had booked Union Minister of State and Home Ajay Kumar Mishra Teni, his son Ashish Mishra and others for murder of farmers who were protesting against the three central farm laws.
The complaint was lodged by the farmers in connection with the incident that happened at Lakhimpur Kheri.
According to the police, eight people were killed after a speeding car hit the protesting farmers, and four other people of the convoy were beaten to death. The farmers of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha accused Ashish Mishra of shooting a farmer, he couldn’t be saved.
However, Ajay Mishra Teni, said that his son was not present at the spot where the incident happened.
“My son wasn’t present at the spot. There were miscreants who attacked workers with sticks and swords. If my son would’ve been there, he wouldn’t have come out alive.”

The FIR has been lodged by the U.P. Police under the sections 302 (murder), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 279 (rash driving), 338 (grievous hurt) , 304-A (death by negligence), 147 (rioting) and 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.
The FIR lodged by the Police, states that the whole incident was “premeditated”.
A video of the incident surfaced on social media showing a group of protesters moving forward towards a farm field and then being mowed down by a speeding grey SUV from behind.
The Uttar Pradesh Government has announced ₹45 lakh compensation to the family members of the four farmers who were killed in the Lakhimpur violence.
